R2K announces 1st candidate for the St.George Board
R2K (Return to Kogarah) is happy to announce that Graeme Fleming is one of its three candidates for the St.George Leagues Club Board of Directors.
R2K's Graeme Fleming
Graeme Fleming, a former State Manager of Yokohama, is the son of the late John Fleming. John Fleming was the Secretary of the Club when the Dragons won their last premiership and was also at the helm when St.George won the Panasonic Cup in 1988.
Graeme Fleming was appointed to the R2K committee in 2005 and is passionate about improving the facilities at the Club.
“I’m keen to become more involved with the Club and the role my late Father played at the Club has given me the background and motivation to become involved in this critical time in the Club’s history,” Mr.Fleming said.
“As a lifelong St.George local, I have enjoyed being involved with R2K, as it’s a group that keeps the Dragons focused on its responsibilities to the St.George District and helps to keep the current Board accountable to Club members.”
At R2K’s election launch, he will outline a new vision for St.George Leagues Club including new facilities and services such as a Club courtesy bus, a Kid’s Creche/Play Centre near the current bistro and the creation of a Health Club at the site of the former bowling Clubhouse, which will incorporate a gymnasium and the relocation of the Club’s Spa and Sauna Club.
Graeme Fleming is passionate about ensuring that the Dragons remain in the St.George District for 50% of their home games and is concerned that the grant from the St.George Leagues Club to the Dragons has reduced by over 44% from $4.5 million to $2.5 million per annum.
